These photos are from a feature Matchbook Magazine did about Gen's vintage dress collection. (PS, Gen and Ben's beautiful home currently featured in the January issue of Matchbook Mag- check it out!) What makes her collection special is her design vision. Yes, you read that right- Gen designs her vintage; she seeks out dresses with great potential and then alters, not just the hemline but the design of the dress, to fit her personal style and size. This is a great idea that, if done right, can be a very cost effective way to update your closet! Stay tuned to read about MY vintage dress redo's!
One of my favorite new people to follow is a company called Pencil and Paper Co. They are based in Nashville, TN and have some MAJOR style! Gen and Ben Sohr, a really adorable husband/wife duo, own the company that specializes in interior design.... but that's not the only kind of design Gen is known for. Like a lot of modern day ladies, Gen has a love for classic, colorful, VINTAGE clothing; except instead of just talking about beautiful vintage and pinning 1950's magazine features onto her Pinterest page, Gen actually wears her favorite vintage.
M Y F I R S T real post!! so, as most of you know, I was an Apparel Design major at Auburn so I love some pretty clothes! I'm inspired by three things: fabulous fashion, incredible interiors, and fantastic florals. (see what I did there-- alliteration! The only thing I learned in high school English) And when I find amazing pictures of any of these things, well that's just the icing on the cake!
