I T H A S been unbelievably hot in Atlanta lately! Just too hot to bare! So this weekend, we decided to head up to Highlands, NC for some cool air and family time. So far, the weather has been beautiful, cool, and so much better than back home!!
This is my view for the next few days. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Do you have anything fun or exciting going on this weekend?
S O M E T H I N G I like to do in my spare time is to "design" my future dream home. I think about it, talk about it, research colors, fabrics, and wallpapers. It's my secret little hobby. So lately, I've been obsessing over stair treads. I just BLEW UP my Pinterest board with a million stair tread pins... So I thought I'd share them with y'all!
I'll start with a traditional, more neutral style. The sisal rug with black binding is my favorite. So classic, versatile, and it will last forever with lots of wear and tear.
I also love a simple geometric design in neutral colors like this diamond pattern.
Blue and white in a simple pattern never gets old- it's a classic combination that will stand the test of time!
But geometrics aren't always understated and traditional. They can get colorful and crazy real fast! Here are a few of my favorite more colorful options
I'm so in love with this purple and orange tribal print!! Maybe not for the front staircase, but I ever had a house with a front and a hidden back stairway, I wouldn't think twice about incorporating something colorful and fun like this!
This more traditional colorful print would be fun too.
Black and white is my jam! It's as timeless as Audrey Hepburn's little black dress.
I love this combination of all white with a bold striped stair- so fun!
Sometimes you don't need pattern at all. Color does all the talking here.
But my favorite of all stair runner styles is animal print!!! Ugh! I just die over these leopard print stairs and white walls, don't you?!?
Fawn is a fun, more neutral unexpected print.
And I like this pattern- it's a less expensive version, but I like how it looks like more of a geometric print than an actual animal print.
So there ya have it! My favorite stair runner ideas. Now to pick one for my future dream house...
