isn't she adorable?
I hope y'all all had a beautiful Mother's day and were able to spend time with yo mommas! After a weekend of traveling, brunching, and more traveling, Monday can always be a drag... especially when the weather is so gorgeous and warm outside!! So here's a little something to brighten those Monday blues
A little shopping. It makes me happy, so I thought it would do the same for you! Even if I don't buy anything, I love "shopping" around to find my next favorite item. Today, it's Rikshaw Design. I LOVE a good tunic, so I was really excited to find this cute little tunic company!
I gravitate toward brands that I make a personal connection with. As I read up on Rikshaw, I found out that the owner, Catherine Benson, has a heart for travel, color, print, and handcrafted items- she's one of my people, y'all!! Along with her resume that includes being a visual merchandiser at Ralph Lauren and a textile buyer at Pottery Barn, Catherine traveled the globe. Once she set foot in India, she was sold. She fell in love with the people, and culture, and the age-old traditions.
Catherine Benson- Owner and Designer of Rikshaw Design
isn't she adorable?
Catherine's love for India convinced her to start a company of her own that incorporated the ancient technique of block printing. Now, Rikshaw Design imports block printed textiles made with hand carved wooden blocks and makes them into women's and children's tunics, dresses, tops, and baby bubbles along with bedding, nursery sets, blankets, and plush animals made with the soft brightly colored fabric.
I'm now a huge fan of Rikshaw Design. Aren't you too?? Catherine and her colorful company are officially on the LMH Style A-List. Read more about Catherine and follow her blog!
