I A M so proud to call Augusta, GA my hometown. No matter where I have ended up over the years, I've always called Augusta home... and probably always will. Many people feel differently about my historic little city, but I believe it's because they don't know the town the way that I do. Maybe they don't see beauty in the historic homes, store fronts, churches, theaters, and museums. Maybe they don't treasure the traditional southern upbringing and strong Christian foundation that children receive from their native Augustan parents and community. But I do! It's kinda strange to me how different my town is from all of the other places I've lived or visited- it's a place full of people and businesses that I have a strong personal connection with... something I never expected to feel at the age of 18 when I left for Auburn University-- so ready to break free from my roots and never look back! But it didn't take long for me to realize what I treasure I had back home.
